The Founders of Cowra Community Enterprise
A passion for Mother Earth inspired a dedicated team to establish Cowra Community Enterprise in 2023 with the focus to divert usable clothing, household goods, homewares, tools, furniture and other materials from going into landfill.
In addition to the main retail space at 80 Redfern Street, Cowra, C C E has also been managing the Tip Shop at the Cowra Council's waste depot.
Our Environmental Story
The Cowra Community Enterprise was established to prevent thousands of usable items from ending up in landfill. As a result, C C E operates an eclectic and fascinating op-shop at 80 Redfern Street, Cowra plus The Tip Shop on Glenlogan Road, Cowra.
Since January 2024, hundreds of tonnes of household goods, clothing and shoes, electrical equipment, furniture, books, bedding, camping, plumbing, sporting and travel equipment is now happily owned by our wonderful customers.
Our Inclusive Practices
Our team consists of dedicated volunteers passionate about preventing usable goods from ending up in landfill.
Here at Cowra Community Enterprise, we provide retail opportunities for people who may be unable to be employed elsewhere. Creating close, effective teams and developing customer service skills happen in real circumstances in a happy environment.
